Thanks Jill!

I had a really vivid dream about my deceased father last night. I think it
was brought on from the thread about losing our parents. It was great to
dream about him. I was asking him all about heaven, etc. I felt geat this
morning.

Um, glad I could help? I have talked to my parents this morning and they
bot insist I should NOT go down there to visit. I'm trying to decide if I
should go on and book a flight, rent a car, get a motel room and ambush them
or not. They live on a very secure island where if the rented military
police don't have your name on a visitors list, you don't get on the island.
I contacted my brother to see if maybe he'd want to drive down with me
rather than do the flying bit, but he says he's too busy at work. (sigh)

I'm glad you felt better when you woke up. I usually dream about elevators
that won't take me to the floor I need to be on. Very frustrating. ;)

I have had similar dreams, but it's staircases that don't get me where I
want to go instead of elevators, lol.

I know someone, who is dear to me, who had a recurring dream that he
was in an elevator and it wouldn't take him up to floor that he wanted
to go. He kept having it and having it, over and over again, and often.

Then, he came out to his family that he was *** and that night he had
the elevator dream and the elevator shot through the roof and he felt
peace. And, he never had an elevator dream again.

Yes, I believe that both the elevator dream and the stairs dream both
represent something that you are reaching for, but somehow struggling to
attain.

Ahem... I'm not *** :) My elevator dreams most often have to do with my
former job and not being able to get to my office. Server down; database
down. I always had to be *on* the clock. Always had to be available to
answer pages 24/7 or over long weekends and so on and so forth. What bothers
me now is that I still have dreams like this even though I gave up that sort
of stressful life 2 years ago.

Did you give it up without some sort of resolution (like tell your boss
to take a hike, or get the promotion, or something like that), I
wonder?

I suppose I could tell the former boss to take a hike, but what would be the
point?
