I know your pain! I'm trying to set it up with Chatzilla or Trillian.
Someone did Chatzilla, and if you're following this, what connection
did you use and how do you hook with this chat?

I just click the link and go through the web. I've just found that sometimes
java on firefox on OSX makes things go a little wonky from time to time.

That was me.... I wasn't good at setting it up so I used the "help" ng
you can get to through the ChatZilla website.

Global Settings
Server: irc.penguinpowered.ca
Channel: #rec.food.cooking

If rfc chat is your main interest, once you're in it - go to View and
put a check by "Open This Channel at Startup".

I went to Hackers R Us for help...
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/rt-messaging/chatzilla/

Good Luck and see you using CZ soon!

I used to do that, but I don't want to be in my browser.

That will not take you through Chatzilla which is a chat program. All
that does is open a java applet in a window and THAT is what I am
trying to avoid by using Chatzilla.
