I've always eaten these things as one big patty. Unfortunately, if I
eat that many carbs for breakfast, my blood glucose levels soar. (I'm diabetic) So, I've been frying it into four smaller cookies. I can eat those later in the day, when they don't affect my BG very much. And South Beach *requires* you to have dessert after lunch and dinner. Not bad, huh? In case anyone's interested, and missed the original post, here it is: 1/3 cup oatmeal (not instant) I'll use Old Fashioned next time 1 egg cinnamon to taste vanilla to taste sugar or artificial sweetener to taste finely chopped apples (optional) raisins (optional) Fry in the shape of a patty in a lightly buttered skillet until firm. Did anyone try this when I posted it before? Did you like it? Carol |
