Default Thanks to Puester and Maxine

Thanks for the introduction (Gloria P) and the re-run <G> Maxine to coffee
syrup. I just had a big tall glass of cold coffee milk and it's such a
wonderful refreshing drink! Must be ice cold, though. Now I have to go to
the store to buy more skim or 2% milk.

Maxine is in the thick of coffee syrup land, R.I. and SE Massachusetts.
The first few years after we moved to Colorado EVERY SINGLE visitor from
Back East brought the traditional bottle of coffee syrup (Silmo, Coffee
Time, or Autocrat brand.) I'm told refugees from N.E. can't live
without a bottle of it int he fridge. We did go through a lot of it
when my kids were still home.

For those not in the know, the syrup is a brewed coffee, reduced to
intensify the flavor, and sweetened. It is used to flavor plain milk or
various ice cream/soda fountain drinks.

It is available online. Email me if you want the URL, after all we
can't expect Maxine to supply the whole ng!

She didn't supply it ; she sent me two types (Autocrat and Eclipse) and I
reimbursed her. But I do so enjoy this as a cold milk drink! Of course, I
enjoy cold milk anyway so....

Any time lass. Ever try it on top of ice cream? Or drizzled over a
slice of cake?

I think it's Autocrat that sells it in gallon jugs, just in case you
need more....
