I could eat bread and beans everyday of my life and never get tired of
either. Is/are there any food(s) you could eat every day and not tire of, either? Thanks, Dee Dee |

Been there, done that... couldn't eat it again for years. There are things I can eat often, but not on a daily basis. -- Practice safe eating. Always use condiments. |

I have it 4-5 times per week most weeks, and I would have it even more if my wife wasn't complaining about the lack of beef. I find chicken very versatile. We used to half grilled salmon every Friday night. I expected that I would get sick of it very quickly, but I never did. |

Just about any berry. Other than that, I do like variety and think I'd get tired of eating any one thing pretty quickly. No, variety is not just the spice of life, it's essential. Though we eat rice 4 or 5 days a week, when we want potatoes or pasta instead we really want it. There is no meat or seafood, no veggie, no fruit that would not become tiresome after a long stint of daily eating. The closest thing would probably be eggs, because there are so many different things to do with them. I can imagine a varied diet that every day had an egg in it in some component of one of the meals. -aem |

Or an english muffin toasted well with the same as above. A sliced banana mixes with sour cream, sprinkled wth sugar - this has been my favorite breakfast for the last month or so. I literally did eat them every day at work for about 14 years. Sometimes twice in one day if I nothing else looked good. I only quit because my boss breaks tons of rules and gets away with it (safety, stealing from other departments, etc). The store manager backs her up, so my only satisfaction is not spending my money in own department. So, I quit buying our food and starting packing lunches. As a side affect, I am saving money. But I do find it hard to find things to replace it. I did buy frozen chicken wings for awhile and take those, but they didn't reheat well in the microwave. I'd go back to them in a heartbeat if this manager would leave. I don't eat most things every day, but since I am a very picky eater, I tend to eat the same things over and over again. I find things I really like and stick with them. When I go to restaurants, both fast food and regular, I find my favorite thing and order the same thing every time. And my dad has been eating Cheerios for over 30 years. When he takes a trip, he packs his cheerios, a bowl, and a spoon. |

When he takes a > trip, he packs his cheerios, a bowl, and a spoon. Is he related to Prince Charles' dad who eats a certain dry cereal every day? But I've heard that He gets cranky if his cornflakes or post-toasties or whatever cereal in a Tupperware container aren't cloese-at- hand on the table. I wonder if it is really true (only mildly curious, tho - tee hee). Dee Dee |

Just remember that you can't live by bread alone
![]() But, hmmm...let me see... I guess apples if I could get any variety I want. Do we get to use spices with the food? Or do I have to eat just the food item and that's it. Or am I over analyzing this just a little bit? --- http://www.pansandmore.com Home of the Best and Most Complete Cookware and Bakeware Reviews on the Internet |

Here is what I posted some years ago in the "Most addictive food" thread. At least for Europeans and those of European ancestry and cooking habits, it's got to be bread. Just try to live without bread for any extended period. Some will find it easy, most won't. It is also a foodstuff that most people could eat every single day of their life and not get tired of it. Perhaps many East Asians would say the same thing about rice. Victor |
