This man (and I use the term lightly) is a pedophile advocate:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/01/12/vermont.judge.ap/

Do not buy Vermont Teddy Bears. They have folks bamboozled that it's a
Valentine's Day gift... well for the other 364 days of the year it's
sold as bait to used by pedophile preditors.

DO NOT BUY VERMONT TEDDY BEARS ! ! !

Do not patronize anything Vermont.

Do you know where your children are, hopefully not in Vermont

Thank you for your indulgence.

But I missed the part where it had anything to do with the Vermont Teddy
Bear company, other than that they're in the same state. Is there some other
connection I missed?

I was about the post the same question, but you beat me to it. (I think
Sheldon is trying to turn into Bill O'Reilly)

What does that have to do with VTB? I used to work there and they are
a very good small business. be careful who you slander.

And you know this how? Your link only mentions a Vermont judge and
mentions *nothing* about the company you disparaged.

Each one of your posts makes you look sillier. Whats next, are you going
to claim you invented the question mark?

Sheldon, you've outdone yourself - and that's saying something! I'm not
sure how you made the leap from "Vermont Judge is a total Asshat" to
"Boycott Vermont Teddy Bears!", but I'm sure you have your reasons for doing
so. I'm just afraid to ask what they are.

If you'd really like to express your opinion in a meaningful way, go to
http://www.cpiu.us/vermontjudge.php and read the site. I don't know how
much weight a non-Vermont resident would have in getting this guy impeached,
but the names and addresses of the people who can do it are listed on that
site.

As for the Vermont Teddy Bear people...well, guess what? Pedophiles have
also been known to use candy - so do we boycott Hershey? They've been known
to use puppies and kittens - do we tell the Humane Society to euthanize all
puppies and kittens? Pedophiles have been known to work as educators - do
we close down all the schools? According to the Perverted Justice site
(http://www.perverted-justice.com/), pedophiles can be fireman, in the
military, religious leaders...basically, pedophiles can be found in all
strata of society.

Come to think of it, why didn't you call for a boycott on Toys R Us and
Hallmark? They, too, sell cute stuffed animals.

No, you didn't miss a thing. There is no link, other than "Vermont".

Bob M. might be right, and Sheldon might just be off his meds again. Or
(and I'm really going out on a limb here folks), this may be Sheldon's way
of making an ironic comment on the Muslim boycott of Danish products...but I
don't think he's capable of that kind of satire.

Sheesh.

If he does, then by Gawd, I'm suing him for patent infringement!

A common tactic (or so I've read) is for pedophiles to not use real puppies
or kittens but to ask a child to help them find their lost pet. Of course,
there is no lost pet.

The best thing to do is to teach children there is *no shame* in running,
screaming from that kindly stranger who wants them to help them find a pet
or to give them a piece of candy or a toy as a lure to go someplace.

Teach them there is *no shame* if they are (sadly) touched in improper ways
by a pedophile, be it daddy, mommy, step-whatever, a neighbor, a teacher or
a pastor. Teach them it's not a "secret". Teach them if this happens they
did nothing wrong. Teach them no one is going to harm their family if they
tell. Teach children to feel free to tell any adult they trust, even if
it's an adult outside of the family (especially if the abuse is *within* the
family) without fear of repercussions. It's the only way to get these
monsters behind bars.

Why did I think he being somewhat ironic and making a statement along
the lines of Muslims beating up anything Danish because of the actions
of some Danish papers?

Your earlier post reassured me.
