It may be even better than a marinade. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and chopped mint. Rub it on to both sides of the chops and let them sit for about an hour, the grill them. They are delicious. It works especially well with thin chops. |

thanks Dave, that sounds easy and tasty. I got large loin chops not
too thick. Will grill them on the weber with the hood down so they keep nice and moist. Serving them with the rolled potato and proscuitto slices that I posted sometime ago - Rotolo di Patata. Cheers Bron |

Spicy or whatever. > Tiramisu for dessert. Sure! Start off with a spice blend, a little like 5 spice (cinnamon, clove, ginger, pepper, star anise etc.) - I add cardamom and corriander seed too, grind it all up. I also use powdered chiles. Next, soy and sugar/honey, maybe some lime or lemon juice. Mix well and paste all over the meat if honey is used, if you used sugar, heat it first to melt it, then paste over when it's cooled. Marinate like that for several hours or as long as you've got then cook the meat still covered in the mixture. Works great with pork in many ways does this, we love it here ',;~}~ Shaun aRe |

Pour over the pork and cover and marinate overnight, turning the pork at least once. Jill |

Thanks Jill. Sounds tasty, will keep that for another time. I ended up
doing a dry smoked chilli rub with spiced lavendar and herbs. Turned out really lovely. Thanks to Shaun aRe too for his suggestion. Bronnie |
