That's okay, Barb, if you really wanna know how to make Jell-o

Yep. Firefox, especially with the AdBlock extension, will take care o' those nasty popups. I switched from IE to Firefox a couple of weeks ago and am happy I did. It was a snap to download and install. It is faster loading many sites, and the tabbed browsing works very well. I have not downloaded the AdBlock extension as I don't see a need yet. I did add ImageZoom and NoScript, both of which are reason enough to switch from IE. Add me to the list of those who recommend Firefox. -aem |

I use IE and I have popups blocked. As a matter of fact, I clicked on the site and sure enough, pop-up block. To see this pop-up or additional options click here... Don't ask me how I set it, perhaps it arrived loaded that way. nancy |

Probably, I installed it at home relatively recently. MediaAdClick came up with some new popups that were getting past the normal Firefox control, so I added that. You said if I was using google, I said what I clicked on. When I just click on my IE icon, it's just an IE blank screen, the toolbar is the same and it has that pop-up thing under Tools. No google, no nothing. Just a blank Microsoft Internet Explorer screen. nancy |

As a longtime security conscious surfer, I was shocked to be mugged by a piece of adware downloaded against all precautions and security settings and double firewalls!! It turned my w98's file manager (Explorer) into an toolbar equipped browser. I had to install Search/Destroy and Ad-Aware to remove it. After being a Linux user for so long and rarely using my win-box online, I was stunned to learn, after a little research, just what a dismal state of affairs now exists for Windows users on the web. Seems anyone with a business license can wreak havoc on your computer with impunity. Thanks for nothing, Congress! nb |
