After almost losing my breakfast catching the last of the Rick the
Dick show on PBS, I was delighted to see a new (to me) Latin cooking
show, Daisy Cooks. Whatta hoot. Not only are the recipes intriguing
(mostly Cuban, PR, etc), but Daisy Martinez is fresh breeze. She's
funny, candid, and cute to boot. Some quotes:

On chopping:
"I have to watch when I'm chopping. I can't not look like Jacques
Pepin. I like my fingers. I'm very attached to them."

On handling habanero peppers:
"The oil stays on your fingers so you have to be careful. You
don't want to touch you eyes or nose or mouth ...heaven forbid you
should have to go to the bathroom...."

I think the show is a keeper.
