Default Help Me Out Please :)

Ok, with everything going on, I'm brain dead. Prep time and cook time
will be a concern for dinner as well. I have chicken breasts thawing so
the choices are using a Italian seasoned roasted tomato sauce, sweet &
sour sauce, or and Indian Tikka stir fry sauce. Rice would go with any
of the choices. DH doesn't like really spicy foods as in Mexican, cajun
or hot sauces so I'm cautious over the Tikka sauce. I'd rather not
open the bottle if I'm not going to be using it as we haven't been
eating at home at lot. Does anyone know if this sauce is really spicy?
I don't want to make something he won't eat and we really need a
homecooked meal. Thanks everyone in advance just in case I don't get a
chance to reply.

Tikka sauce is not on the 'hot' scale of curries, definitely mild to medium,
although different companies make different blends.
I always find that a tikka sauce tastes of campbells tomato soup, once it's
in your head that that was one of the original ingredients, (Victorian
England) you just can't taste anything but tomato soup!
Like I said, different companies make different blends, and in the UK Lloyd
Grosman (spelling?) makes a really good one, but I'd go with the sweet &
sour (just cos I've had Italian style pasta dishes 3 times in the past 4
days!)
I don't think I've helped much, but have a great meal together!

There are three basic Tikka Masala. The most common is Red Tikka
Masala. You can check the recipe out at the following link and see if
DH would like it

http://www.indiacurry.com/trends/t003redtikkamasala.htm

You may just want to use simple marinara sauce and give it an Indian
attitude by adding four spices

1. Ground Cumin Seeds
2. Ground Cardamom seeds
3. Ground Cinnamon.
4. Ground Cloves.

Just stir in to your Marinara sauce and simmer about five minutes.. An
Italian with an Indian attitude!! Sounds like Sonia Gandhi, thats
another story...
