WTF is it with all these "chuckle" threads? One was tedious enough,
but now it's getting ridiculous. Between the maddening Chung dung and
cheerless chuckle chaff, perusing rfc is becoming a real PIA. Give it
a rest! I think rfc is funny enough without a buncha inane daily joke
and comic strip links. If you think rfc is so bereft of natural humor
you need supplemental comedy relief, look elsewhere. There are over
fifty joke newsgroups out there. ....harumphhh!

</rant>

As for the pepper grinder reference, has anyone else tried one of
these new McCormick grinders? I just noticed them last month and
picked up a pepper grinder. Very handy. They're not adjustable, but
are set at a sensible med grind. My apprehension upon using was,
would the plastic grinder teeth last all the way through the bottle.
Well, after half a bottle, I feel the little booger is gonna make it,
no problem. I just wish they would would do a white pepper with a
fine grind.

As a licensed and registered curmudgeon, I agree with you. These posts come
from the same people who contribute "What I had for a mid afternoon snack
yesterday", and the always popular "How I folded my toilet paper before
wiping my butt yesterday". Cripes....go to the library and take out some
good books.

Yup... and could I recommend "Marks on the Wall" written by Hoo Flung
Dung. It was riveting.

I have used them I bought the pepper and the pizza spice. I enjoy
the pizza spice although my husband does not. I purchased the pepper
grinder - I think it was about $1.75 at the commissary. My husband told
me he wished we had a pepper grinder - I bought one to see if he would
actually use it before I spent the money on a good one (having purchased
cheap ones in the past, I don't want to do that again) He hasn't used
it yet (have had it for sometime) BUT I find myself using it all the
time lol I like it. I purchased a "sea salt" grinder (from TJ's I
think) I don't like it as much.

I used one. They are not adjustable. It does work and the grinder works
until empty. The top is molded on and not removeable. You can't refill
them if you are that cheap ;-) Hey, I tried. I think they are very
limited and over priced. I prefer a real pepper and separate salt
grinder. I have an extra pepper grinder just for white pepper. Mainly
use that for chinese recipes.

I don't know the brand, but I went camping a couple of years ago and
figured I'd buy little salt and pepper shakers in cardboard tubes at the
store. The price was just ridiculous! So I bought a one pound
container of salt and one of those pepper grinders for much less. I
keep them with my camping supplies.

You find three or more subjects bothersome at r.f.c and then want to
address them all in one post!

That's what I call assholism!

I forgot to add tagging on a pepper grinder "suitable" (to who?) post to
your subject line was stupid.

Take a long walk off a short cliff!

It's anarchy. Live with it. You are powerless. Have a nice day.

1. Ignore the threads

if you are unable to ignore

2. Find a newsreader with a kill file and learn how to use it.

Heh. I wouldn't have seen this, because I've killfiled any thread with
"chuckle" in it, but I was looking on google for pepper grinder
recommendations. :-)

Pandora,

It was a riduclous post. Everyone has an opinion. But I will not stand
accused in such a manner and roll over and die. I will defend my rights.
nb doesn't think I deserve my rights. He deserved my mild criticism.

No offense,

Andy

Hey...it's entertainment, and informative, too. A clue as to why this

This group is inhabited by all kinds, and you know it Andy. notbob has
been grousing and curmudging for quite some time now, and you, while
not posting a great deal to the discussions (unlike some uber-posters
we could name<g>), have found a gentle, easily-killfiled if that is
someone's perference, way to join in the fun. if notbob needs help
with his killfiles, I'm sure someone here would be delighted to assist.
This group has soo many helpful folks....

Assholism. Is that the addictive desire for sodomic intercourse, or an
addiction to making an ass out of oneself?

inquiring minds would like to know<G>

Naw ...I very seldom killfile. No one here. Too much fun reading
what folks have to say. Loved Andy's response ...something about
"anarchy", "get over it". Good advice, Andy. Take it!
