For the past few visits to Trader Joe's - I have not been able to find their
cioppino sauce - which I used to buy on occassion. It was delicious and made
for an easy, good tasting meal. Yesterday I found a cioppino in their
frozen section - frozen seafood and a packet of sauce ... hmmm - it made for
a pretty good meal (I served it over orzo) .... stil wish for their cioppino
sauce, tho'

Same sauce, as I recall. Hadn't noticed they no longer carry the
sauce separately. In a jar, right?

Seems TJ is losing a lot of good longtime products, lately. Their
killer 4yr old cheddar and Boodles Gin are two more MIA's.

The cioppino sauce has only been available year round for the last year
or so..at least here in Roseville. Sometimes it was displayed over the
frozen food case and sometimes on the shelf with marinara sauce. Be
sure to look both places.

Before that, it was a "seasonal" item. I used to buy at least 12 jars
when it was in stock.

Perhaps that is what you are experiencing. Too bad, as it is a very
versatile item to have in the pantry.
