Default I am looking for heavy duty forks and spoons..

Hi folks,

I am looking for heavy duty forks and spoons that I have used at a
resteraunt that I can't remember. The forks were very thick and
strong. They were not big, just strong. Now I look at Oneida 18/0,
18/8, 18/10 but I don't know if that is what I want. Anyone know of
some product (not necessarily fancy) that will stand up to what every
meal I use them for?

Thx

Sam's Club is selling restaurant grade cutlery in a 30 pk - as in 30
spoons or 30 forks - for IIRC $6. They are in with all the other
restaurant supplies. We bought the knives, forks and spoons because the
IKEA ones started getting rust spots. So far we haven't had a problem
They are heavy weight.

Costco has 18/10 stainless heavy duty for about $60 - 8 place setting plus
serving pieces. My husband wanted something he could dig hard frozen ice
cream without bending. He is able to dig out the ice cream with the
teaspoon without bending.

Stand up how? Resist being bent? Or, are you talking about the finish - the
surface appearance?

Do you have a Target nearby? They sell very nice stainless steel
flatware. The flatware is heavy guage and nice designs for prices
that don't break the bank - prices are even better when they are on
sale. I bought 3 sets of 4 and spent well under $100.

Practice safe eating. Always use condiments.
