In a previous post you said you made a "Upside-Down Butterscotch Apple Sour
Cream Cake" for the first time. How did it go?

I'd like to make it myself, but I'm not absolutely sure of one part of the
recipe, a bit seems to be chopped out - "2 8 oz. golden delicious apples;
peeled, halved, cored, cu" - is that supposed to be - cut into *thin*
slices, *thick* slices, or what?
It is *28oz* isn't it, as in 1lb 12oz?

Thanks

Jen

Sorry I'm so late in replying. I've been out of town.

It should read, "two 8 oz. golden delicious apples, peeled, halved,
cored, cut into 1/4" slices." My recipe software doesn't like long
prep directions. The recipe turned out well - made for a beautiful
presentation, but it finishes better with some vanilla bean ice cream
to cut the cake. The cake won''t be gooey, as one might expect. When
you flip it onto a platter, some of the apples might stick to the pan,
but this is a very forgiving cake in that you can patch it while it's
still warm and no one will ever know the difference.
