Searching at google with the words "chickpea bread" turned up at least two
different names which seem Indian.

Missi Roti is Indian flat bread made with Chick pea flour (besan). But
I'm sure there are others.

There is also a french or provencal recipe for a flatbread. I forget
the name, but think it begins with a p. Perhaps it was a variation on
****aladiere. Either way, try google for more ideas
search :
(cici OR garbanzo OR chickpea) bread

You're probably thinking of panissa, which is Ligurian. As well,
there's farinata (also Ligurian) and socca (from Nice). All variations
on a theme, really.
