The kind where I mix all my ingredients in a mixing bowl with a whisk,
then transfer it into a bottle.

can't stand bottled dressing. (expect maybe the occasional Annie's.)

Make your own. It's easy and delicious.

If I were to buy a bottle of Caesar salad dressing I'd look for
Cardini's or Newman's Own. Chef Caesar Cardini invented the salad and
his family licensed the dressing recipe. I have no idea whether what
is sold today resembles the original, but it's a nice story. Newman's
Own is my brand choice for the infrequent use of bottled dressings
because I like their corporate policies.

Recipes abound for making your own, of course, but that isn't what you
asked.... -aem

I don't buy bottled dressings any more, the prices are ridiculous IMO,
but back when i did i was fond of a brand in a tall triangular bottle
called "Garrards" i never tried their Caesar dressing but i did really
like their vinaigrettes.

I once calculated i can make the same amount of dressing in a 5 dollar
bottle for about 60 cents. For me the secret of a good vinaigrette is
making it an hour to a day in advance.

Don't care for bottled dressing because it has way too much salt and
sugar and thats all I can taste. Caesar is really easy to make. Here are
over a hundred recipes showing different variations:

The sugar is what I can't stand and it's usually the first ingredient. I
always make my own.

That goddess dressing is amazing. I've tried to copy it, to no avail.
One of my favorite things to eat in the whole world is sauteed cubes of
tempeh with mixed baby greens (lots of arugula!), red onion, cucumber
and annie's goddess dressing wrapped in lavash or pita. yum!

I have found that an advantage to going through a divorce is that I no
longer feel guilty about cooking all the stuff I love that he hates and
leaving him to fend for himself. Hell, there's leftover spaghetti and
bologna and cheese if he wants to make a sandwich...

None. There is no bottled Caesar Salad dressing. There are
various prepared Caesar-like dressings.

The champagne vinaigrette was a bit too sweet for my taste but i did
like the Italian vinaigrette, which is what i have more or less modelled
my own on.

None. I prefer making Caesar Salad the way it was meant to be made. That
doesn't come out of a bottle.

Wow, what and awesome idea! I'm gonna try that this week! (I might add
some feta into the mix. I put cheese on everything!)

I'm sorry to hear that. I had no idea you were getting divorced. Hell
yeah, get all the fun out of it you can!

I think I've added feta to it before. Now, gorgonzola, that was excellent!

I'm making hummus and sesame-crusted tofu to go with it tomorrow (along
with raw green beans and zuchinni).
He never took me up on all my offers to teach him how to cook. His loss.

GirRard's Caesar dressing is wonderful. For any cooking or pasta salad
use, I also buy Paul Newman's Own for the very same reason as aem
mentionws. I could give a go at making my own Caesar, were my grocer
ever to stock anchovie paste in the best way, by the tube.
