In the past, I've lavished praise on Elizabeth Schneider's _Uncommon Fruits
and Vegetables: A Commonsense Guide_. About a year ago I gave that book to someone who needed it worse than I do. But with the delivery of CSA boxes of produce imminent, I decided to pick up something similar. I just received _Vegetables from Amaranth to Zucchini_ from Amazon, also by Elizabeth Schneider. It's a big heavy book, but WOW! it's chock-full of good information. I recommend it for anybody who's an adventurous buyer at farmer's markets. Bob |
