I've never seen "Blind Robins Smoked Ocean Herring" but I have enjoyed
what is effectively anchovy jerky from a Chinese grocery.

As for the sauerkraut juice, if you drain sauerkraut to sell the
juice, how do you preserve the sauerkraut itself? Can it be dried and
rehydrated later?

I think when you package sauerkraut you end up with leftover
juice, sorta like pre-consumer recycling of paper products.

I've always wondered why Campbell's doesn't market tomato juice
as a sports drink. It's got all the potassium and sodium.
Pickle juice is supposed to help with endurance, but I think
that's just because vinegar helps you burn fat and not anything
special about pickle juice itself.

[googles]

Well okay the fat burning thing isn't proven but vinegar is good
for other reasons too.
