I love Jelly Bellys, Starbursts and Skittles Tropical flavor. I have to say
even though chocolate is not my favorite... I bought some Coconut Creme
Hershey's Kisses and they are REALLY good.

M&Ms plain. Any number of other chocolate candies tie for second.
However I avoid buying them. I don't need them and I don't want them
around because there are times when I have no self-control. :(

Hard candy - sour lemon drops; mixed fruit drops.
Both of them are old-time candy drops and I never see them. I'll betray my
sex - I'm not that fond of chocolate or chocolate candy bars.

Jelly Bellies, Haribo gummy bears, Reese's PB cups (the milk chocolate and
the white chocolate ones), Fanny May Trinidads, Lindt raspberry-filled bar
and 70% cocoa bar, Toblerone, pretzel bark (milk, white, and dark
chocolate), and Dove dark chocolate.

Dora,

I like the 80% cocoa chocolate bars on occasion.

Andy
"The cAndyman", as I was called at work for delivering the occasional
giant tubs of twizzlers.

I'm a Red Twizzlers & SweeTart fan too (Red Twizzlers are a must at
play rehearsals). Have been knows to have a few envelopes of SweeTarts
as my lunch. Do you find that their composition has changed over the
years? They used to dissolve in your mouth -- I'm drooling right now
;o) -- but now they seem harder and don't dissolve as readily.

As far as chocolate bars go, it's Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate or Ritter
Sport Marzipan for me.

Gabby,

Nice to meet another twizzler fan!!!

Twizzlers are the best. Kids at Halloween will trudge to my house for
'em! I also give out starburst.

I don't know about the SweeTart consistency. When I was a kid (just after
they invented air), I could get a silver dollar sized SweeTart that was
hard as a rock and I'd chip away at it for about half an hour. They have
a soft SweeTart that I haven't tried.

All the best,

Andy

Tootsie rolls, Jelly Bellies, Mary Janes, Heath bars, Starburst,
Skittles, soft gummy candies, my own toffee, and probably a few
others.

NOTHING SOUR!

I usually have several different kinds of candy for Halloween,
including Twizzlers. I usually hand those out last and hope the kids
will stop ringing the doorbell before I get to them.

We must have been born around the same time. ;o)

Yes, I think I owe my two front teeth reconstruction to those. They
also has a 'lollipop version', big ball of SweeTart on a stick.

> They have a soft SweeTart that I haven't tried.

Haven't tried those either but they're on my 'should try those' list --
although the enjoyment of SweeTarts has as much to do with texture as
with taste. Don't know if 'soft' ones would add or take away from the
pleasure.

Aargh. This thread is reminding me that of all the things that I've had
to stop eating as I've gotten older, candy is one of the first to go. I
used to love a lot of the ones y'all have mentioned: licorice, hard
sour balls (don't know if I have the name right: in a blue can),
Starburst tropical, gummi anything including jellied citrus slices,
anything flavored with pineapple whether real or artificial, all
delights of the past. At least I'm left with chocolate. My high end
favorite is Dolfin. My low end favorite is Heath bars.

Gabby,

Excuse the <SNIP>. Thanks for the nice reply!

I never heard of the SweeTart lollipop. Must've been in another section
of the candy store.

We probably rubbed elbows and blushed back in the day. :)

I love chocolate -- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kats, Rolos,
chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate covered peanuts, Raisinets,
peanut and almond M and M's.

I love licorice. I will eat Good and Plenty until I am nearly ill. I
really need to try all the stronger stuff -- salted licorice et al.

Movie candy is a whole different beast. I like Twizzlers, Sour Patch
Kids, and Snow Drops (I think that's what they're called -- the
chocolate chips topped with white sprinkles.) I like to mix
chocolate covered peanuts or raisins with the buttered popcorn. My
husband thinks it's disgusting. More for me!

Jelly Belly are my favorite. I also love Heath bars, but can't get
them here in Newfoundland, so they are first on my list every time i
visit the US. Next on my list are Reeses Pieces (the little candies)
which are my MUST HAVE for movies. And when I need to study, or work,
i eat Smarties.

I don't really like or eat candy. If I do, I prefer hard candy (root
beer barrels, Jolly Ranchers, etc.)

Werther's Original. But I don't eat lollies much, I worry about my teeth
- if I want a sweetie I go for chocolate!

So funny, when I ordered the imitation turkish taffy, I also
ordered a handful of other stuff I'd buy when I was a kid.
Ice Cubes, I got a handful of those.

Peanut brittle. There is a family here that makes and sells it in small
batches. The next best thing to homemade.
