We just had homemade cheesesteaks (the only decent kind here on
the West Coast) last night. Had I know about Mr. Olivieri, I'd
have raised one in my drippy hand in tribute. Well, at least he
had a long life, and was never desperate enough to try a
cheesesteak from Subway (yeee-uck!)...

I have to admit, curiosity got the better of me a couple of months ago
and I tried a Subway cheese steak. This is a Subway that's located maybe
three miles from Pat's. I agree with your evaluation. Yuck! On the other
hand, Subway makes a decent tuna sandwich.
