Default Round Top Chicken Salad

Hello, all,

I just returned from a wonderful 3 day trip to Houston, where I tried
to sample as many "Texas" type things as I could. In fact, it was an
eating frenzy the whole weekend.

One thing that I missed and that I'm told is the BEST, is the Chunky
Chicken Salad from Royer's in Round Top.

Does anyone have the recipe or one that is similar? I'd love to give
it a try back here in HOT California. The tomatoes are growing like
weeds and chicken salad and sliced tomatoes sounds like a feast to me.

Thanks,
jillie
Roseville, CA

PS..While I was in Houston, I told my niece, Caren, about RFC and know
that she has joined us. She's a wonderful cook and will be a great
addition to the group. Hi, Sweetie.

How was the surprise birthday party? I saw Sacramento on the evening
news and there is fear of a black out. I hope you have everything you
need for such an emergency.

See whether the recipe for the chicken salad is somewhere in this list
from Google.

Houston, huh! Where all did you go while visiting our fair (but very humid)
city... and more importantly what did you EAT <g>?
