Default Recipes with strange names

When I was young, (almost 60 years ago), my mother made us Bird Hay for
breakfast. None of my friends ever heard of it but I still eat it
occasionally. It is almost like broken up French Toast with a
completely different taste. Definately not gourmet but reminds me of home!

Bird Hay

2-3 slices day old bread, torn into small bite-size pieces
2 large eggs, beaten
salt & pepper
plenty of butter

Melt butter in a very large frying pan. Put in bread chunks and stir,
coating bread. Cook over med. heat till toasty and semi-browned. Mix
salt and pepper into eggs and pour over bread, stirring constantly till
cooked. Serve with a squirt of ketchup all over the top.
