To go with blue cheese, I'd pick grapes or pears.

I've seen pomegranate seeds used in salads like this, but haven't tried
them myself.

nice choice, i would like the pears over the grapes

would you believe after I hung my post to Michael, I actually thought
about pomegranate seeds.. I can see the appearance, but still can't
picture the flavor
not with onions.. i'd have to have a bite to know

walnut spinach salad ? I guess that works..

I would be more inclined to put walnuts with spinach if I was making a
quiche..
maybe add some goat cheese...

Sounds wonderful, Michael. I haven't eaten a pear in 20 years and I don't
know why! Pears used to be one of my favorite fruits.

You're welcome

After eating antipasto and pasta all yesterday, I'm craving something
fresh; might have to try a similar salad for tea tonight.
