Dimitri BEEF - BLACK OLIVE CASSEROLE 1-2 lb. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. MSG 1 tbsp. chili powder 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 can (8 oz.) pitted black olives, sliced & drained 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese 6 oz. wide noodles Sauté beef and chopped onion until beef loses red color, add garlic and seasonings. Add mushroom soup, tomato sauce and olives. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups grated cheese and stir until melted. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Arrange half the noodles in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cover with half the beef sauce. Repeat layers; sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup grated cheese on top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. # 2 2 lbs. ground beef 2 med. onions, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 can tomato soup 1 sm. can tomato sauce 1 sm. jar pimento 1 can of mushroom soup 1 sm. jar of green stuffed olives, sliced 1 (8 oz.) pkg. of small size noodles 1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated Brown first 3 ingredients, then add next 5 ingredients and let simmer. Cook noodles and drain. Have cheese ready. In 9 x 13 pan put layer of noodles, layer of meat mixture, and last cheese. Repeat this twice. Put in oven uncovered and bake for 40 minutes to 45 at 350 degrees. This will serve 10 people. NOTE: If you wish to split casserole put into 2 (8 or 9 inch) pans, you may want to freeze one. # 3 Note the milk looks WRONG here. 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 3/4 c. celery, chopped 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 1 can mushrooms (or fresh) 1 tbsp. milk 12 stuffed green olives Sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 8 oz. narrow noodles, cooked Brown beef, onion, green pepper, and celery. Then add noodles, soup, milk, olives, and mushrooms. Place in large, greased casserole. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 6 nicely. # 4 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (season as you like) 1 med. onion, diced 1 1/2 lbs. Velveeta cheese 1 c. milk 1 can mushroom soup 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles 1 sm. jar stuffed olives Brown ground beef and onion. Melt cheese in milk in double boiler. Cook noodles according to directions on the package. Add mushroom soup to cheese and milk after cheese is melted. Mix all ingredients together and last of all cut up a small jar of stuffed olives and add to the mixture. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Good for freezer. Make 2 medium casseroles. Keep covered for first part of baking. |
