They have many names but basically they are all the same. If money is
tight, loose the cheese.

BEEF - BLACK OLIVE CASSEROLE
1-2 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. MSG
1 tbsp. chili powder
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (8 oz.) pitted black olives,
sliced & drained
2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
6 oz. wide noodles

Sauté beef and chopped onion until beef loses red color, add garlic and
seasonings. Add mushroom soup, tomato sauce and olives. Cover and simmer
20 minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups grated cheese and stir until melted. Cook
noodles according to package directions; drain. Arrange half the noodles in
a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cover with half the beef sauce. Repeat layers;
sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup grated cheese on top. Bake in preheated 350
degree oven for 20 minutes.

2 lbs. ground beef
2 med. onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can tomato soup
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 sm. jar pimento
1 can of mushroom soup
1 sm. jar of green stuffed olives,
sliced
1 (8 oz.) pkg. of small size noodles
1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated

Brown first 3 ingredients, then add next 5 ingredients and let simmer.
Cook noodles and drain. Have cheese ready. In 9 x 13 pan put layer of
noodles, layer of meat mixture, and last cheese. Repeat this twice. Put in
oven uncovered and bake for 40 minutes to 45 at 350 degrees. This will serve
10 people. NOTE: If you wish to split casserole put into 2 (8 or 9 inch)
pans, you may want to freeze one.

Note the milk looks WRONG here.

1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3/4 c. celery, chopped
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms (or fresh)
1 tbsp. milk
12 stuffed green olives
Sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
8 oz. narrow noodles, cooked

Brown beef, onion, green pepper, and celery. Then add noodles, soup,
milk, olives, and mushrooms. Place in large, greased casserole. Sprinkle
cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 6 nicely.

# 4

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (season as you like)
1 med. onion, diced
1 1/2 lbs. Velveeta cheese
1 c. milk
1 can mushroom soup
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
1 sm. jar stuffed olives

Brown ground beef and onion. Melt cheese in milk in double boiler. Cook
noodles according to directions on the package. Add mushroom soup to cheese
and milk after cheese is melted. Mix all ingredients together and last of
all cut up a small jar of stuffed olives and add to the mixture. Bake 40
minutes at 350 degrees. Good for freezer. Make 2 medium casseroles. Keep
covered for first part of baking.
