Default America's Favorite Game: Name That Kitchen Tool !!!

I just started a new thread on alt.binaries.food.
Pictured are five kitchen tools that were initially
unknown to me. I have since learned what four of them
are, but one is still a mystery. I won't give away
any hints, to avoid influencing your opinions.

Ha! No way! I'm not going to let you trick me
into committing the crime that deserves DEATH
of posting a binary to a non-binary newsgroup!

Mark, can you put it on a webpage NOT in Google groups and give us the
link?

www.tinypic.com

Then someone can make a post called, "I Made a Whatchamacallit!" and
claim the picture as their own.

I tried to upload to tinypic.com, but that site
generates javascript errors on my browser (Netscape).
It probably requires Internet Explorer or accepting
cookies to use it, either of which I consider to be
an unacceptable security risk.

If somebody else wants to grab the jpg files from
the thread in alt.binaries.food and upload them
to tinypic, I have no objection to that. (Heck,
you could even claim that they're your tools and
your photos, if you want. :-)

Post your pics at tinypic.com and post the URLs in any Usenet group

I tried that. tinypic either requires Internet
Explorer or cookies. I don't know which is
the cause, but I can't upload an image to
tinypic using Netscape with cookies turned off.
I do notice that a Javascript error occurs
when I try. I certainly will not turn on
cookies or run Internet Explorer just to
make the photos available. That would be
an unacceptable breach of computer security.

I would be very pleased if someone else
copied the files from alt.binaries.food
and uploaded them to tinypic. I'll upload
the files myself if someone can find a site
for uploading photos that is compatible
with Netscape and does not require accepting
cookies.

Not likely. I can relate, being unwilling to do same. But, the same
security precautions you take to protect your privacy are similar to
the precautions websites take which require cookies and other crap.
Kind of a Mexican standoff. The only way you can get around it is to
get your own webspace, either through your ISP or a 3rd party host
provider. Huge amounts of web space to do almost anything can be had
for as little as $50-100 year.

I understand. You never know what can happen if pictures of kitchen
appliances fall into the wrong hands

Use a different free service. There are many. Google
"image hosting".

Why don't you set cookies to expire at the end of your session? Upload
to TinyPic and close your browser.

Or...you can use your "secure" browser for your CIA stuff and use IE
for accessing tinypic.com
