Default Supermarket CO2 refrigeration

I'd like to hear your opinion on the increase of CO2 equipment in the supermarkets.Co2 is efficient for use in heat pump applications but not so energy efficient for refrigeration applications.
Is it a good or bad thing?

CO2 is the future for supermarkets, but it will take a while for the industry to learn and adapt. A well-designed CO2 system is substantially more energy efficient than a conventional R22 or R404a system, even in hot climates.
