Here is a much larger food and cooking translator:
http://rollybrook.com/lexicon.htm It's quite large, so it takes a
minute to download completely.

Thank you Rolly, that is certainly nice of you to share.

Aside from a few Politico bottom feeders I note there is not a lot of
interaction nor many recipes given out here?

For the first few months after Linda Gonzalez began this group in 1998, we
exchanged tons of recipes and great stories about enjoying Mexican food and
Mexican culture in general.

Then, 2-3 people, in time, decided their opinions were more important than
those of anyone else and decided to try to dominate the group. The result
was that several, even most, of the original posters left.

Some of us look in from time to time.

Rolly's posts and his web site are a breath of spring!

well then, it is time to take it back, but can we do some Cribe in there
too?

I find that the Block Sender button works better than wrestling a pig as
most of em are just an argument waiting to happen

Some years ago this was a stimulating site. But it got down to many people
simply wanting the basic recipes without any reference to Mexican food
culture and I dropped out. I think others did too because it turned out to
be a simple cook-book without much salsa. Rolly's site is the picante of
this newsgroup today, in my opinion.
