Default B&B pickles done, what's next

Okay, I finished making a batch of Barb's B&B pickles, now onwards to more
pickles. I just found a recipe for Mongo Hot pickles. Hubby likes anything
remotely indicative of removing the hair from his tongue, so I will make a
big batch of them next.

Monday is the gotofairgroundsstandinlinefillouttheforms day for the
Allentown Fair. Gotta go through the list and see what I want to actually
submit this year. I am definitely going to try to submit my chili for the
chili cookoff. A few other submissions and hopefully my take will cover the
cost of the application (cost $10 to submit)...most BIG prizes never amount
to more than $5 for a blue ribbon, but you do get free passes for the fair
and the good feeling you get slowly seeing yourself turn into a ribbon
whore.

Wish me luck.

That was so funny Ginny! I guess I'm just a ribbon slut. I never got paid!
Those Southern NM bums don't taste any of the canned goods last time I
checked. My family all loves the stuffs tho. That's good enuf for me. I give
me Blue Ribbons. I'm gonna make me a hat like that, swear I will. Will post
a picture someday.
Love,
Edrena

Just made a batch of what the recipe calls Mondo hot pickles....only on the
advice of youngest offspring and hubby, I added a 'additional'
items.....included with the kirbys were garlic, peppercorns, red pepper
flakes, jalepeno slices and cubanelle slices.....oh and the usual dill weed
and pickling spice. I think I'll call them Pentacostal Preacher
Pickles.....they're so hot you'll be jumping around like a Pentacostal
Preacher at a Tent Revival!
