Default Saints Preserve Us!

The Colorado peaches arrived last week but I didn't find out about it
until yesterday. I've got 16# awaiting my pleasure. Make that 12# to
adjust for the ones I've eaten and the jam I just finished. Jam looks
terrific and tastes good, too.

Apple Butter is on the stove -- maybe I can burn that, too; I have such
a record for it. I think apples this time of year leave something to be
desired, so I'm only making a very small batch right now to enter in the
Fair.

Tomatoes should be plentiful at the farmers market, but do I want to get
them today and do them or wait until Saturday? Saturday's in the lead
right now. They'll be chili sauce and juice and "stewed". All won blue
ribbons last year.

I still have blackberry jam to do; best get those thawing.

It's pretty good to be me, in spite of the sore throat from hell.

And the plums are seriously considering ripening. Just what I need.
I've a boatload of them and I fear they're going to need me at about the
same time I'll be tangled up in the Fair. Yikes!

I wish you strength in the days ahead.

Nurse that sore throat. You cannot afford to get sick right now.

No kidding -- and thank you. It is 95% back to normal today.
Hallelujah. Coughing hurts but I'm not doing much of that. I've been
eating all kinds of fresh fruit -- peaches, even. "-)

Thanks, Boron.

And pickling salt and lemon juice, in warm water for a throat gargle. I love
that word - it sounds like what it is.
Edrena, high on peaches still
