Default County Fair

The local county fair was really poor this year. They did not have it
last year so that may account for the poor showing this year. Not
many food entries.

Having said that, 5 out of 6 of my canned goods got blue ribbons. I
think the only one that had much competition was tomato juice and it
did win a blue ribbon. I guess I can say that at least my entries met
standards. And I will take the $20 gladly. They did not like my
lemon pound cake and the brownies got a 3rd. First place was thick
and looked gooey. Mine taste just fine.

Now I have to get organized to get my stuff ready for the real
competition in Winston Salem. I got my tags from them yesterday. I
also need to figure out which cooked items will last the longest and
start working. Other than baked goods, the only thing I need to do is
dry tomatoes.
