Default Ping Edrena: Pickles

Heya Edrena,

Those bread and butter pickles that you brought to the NM Cook-in last
year.... They were so good!!! I am still remembering them...

And....wanting to make some myself....

What was your recipe?

Yeehaa leetle friend, I used the recipe from Joy of Pickling's Her Recipe,
using a little more sugar, I think. I'll look in my Canning Journal to see.
(Very handy that journal. I won't add the dill pickle recipe I concocted
this year. Not bad, just, um, not great) Shall I scan B&B recipe for all
y'all? PS - Barb's recipe has won numerous prizes and is probably available
with just a googlesearch. PPS - iffn' you want, you can make a smaller
amount (like who'd want to?) and not boiling water bath, just keep in
fridge.
Y'all still in Alb~~? Still hangin' out with them young singin' fellers?
Love,
Edrena

I liked your recipe, whatever you used. It had a nice spicy tang to
it...which was very good. You had said you did some addition or
something to the recipe you used. I forget what you said though...

Yes, I am still in ABQ..and will be here for some time. I took a
permanent staff job here... Haven't see the singin' fellas for some
time....

Christine, who is so very tempted to come down that way and get you to
teach me all your preserving secrets...
