Thanks for the input Barb - having a great time with the romas except for two things: Because I only have seven plants and they don't all come in at the same time, some have to sit on the shelf for a day or two while others ripen on the vine. Second, I can't get the leathery texture I'm looking for; I think mine are too dry, but to their credit, in a ziplock bag, they seem to redistribute the moisture amongst themselves Beefsteaks and Early girls get a quick rinse and into the freezer; they will get canned later.
