Default Real Bargain

Went up to Pineville, LA area on Saturday morning to help a friend and
his new wife clean out a couple of sheds on property she had inherited.
In addition to a couple of really good fly rods I got a brand new Presto
Pressure Canner/Cooker as my share of the loot. Thing was in a box dated
1976 but the pot was never used and had been packed away inside a
plastic bag. It's one of the wobbler type but the manual was in it so I
will be able to learn to use it. My 40 yo Sears canner is the pressure
gauge type, to which I am very accustomed. This is a, I think, 16 quart
model and is still bright and shiny. Sometimes you luck out when helping
friends.

Oh yeah, also got two cases of pint jars, and two cases of 12 ounce jars
plus two cases of 8 ounce jars, all still in sealed boxes. My friends
wife says she thinks there are several more cases of jars in the attic
of the house and she will look later and I can have them if they are
still there. In return I will get her the rubber rings to fit the case
of pint lightning top jars that were in an old box. She wants to use
them for dry goods storage.

I'm tired but happy this evening.
