Made an omelet and toast this morning to discover there was no jelly,
jams, or marmalade in the fridge. Finally found a case of four-ounce jars in the garage and brought in a couple. After breakfast I noticed a couple of fruit jar boxes on the kitchen counter, covered with other stuff. Lo! There were twenty-four jars of assorted jams and jellies nearly in plain sight. Sure will be glad when everything around this new place settles down. I miss my oversize garage and shop and my big pantry. We're searching for places to store "stuff" every day. This house is about 100 square feet bigger than the old house but is much more modern, less closets than we are used to, lots of wasted space, etc. We spent a couple of hours yesterday in the garage looking for my portable power saw, some screws, and a few useful boards. I need to repair my desk and will use some redwood one by fours I brought with me. Should take a nice finish and are sturdy but lightweight. Still looking for my level so I can repair the pan drawer cabinet we brought with us, amazingly the formica on it nearly matches what is on the existing cabinets. Trying to get the garage organized so I can find a place to put the shelving for the canning equipment. George |

Do you have an extra bedroom you could remodel into half closet, half pantry? > > We spent a couple of hours yesterday in the garage looking for my > portable power saw, some screws, and a few useful boards. Unpacking when you can't find anything you need is a major headache. Take it slowly and try not to stress. It will get done when it gets done. gloria p |
