![]() Daughter's extended in-law family came Saturday to celebrate FIVE birthdays in the family w/in 2 weeks. One of the aunts brought her a grocery bag stuffed full of ripe passionfruit. The one I ate was heavenly. I don't know what she's planning for the harvest, I suspect a sauce. We went to another friend's gathering yesterday. They had a pomegranate tree loaded with bright red fruit. It looked like something decorated for Christmas. Some of the poms were in clusters looking like huge grapes. They said the fruit usually doesn't redden like that until November. (Global warming, maybe?) Holy cow, I love it here. gloria p |
