What's the old saying, "I feel like I've been shot at and missed and
then the rest. Most of my problems for the last two months are related to this !@#$%^ pinched sciatic nerve. Then my chiropractor goes off on a skiing vacation for a !@#$% week. I am going in at 0800 for therapy, get on the roller bed andlet it massage my back and then they hook a bunch of galvanic stim pads to my hip and leg and electrocute me for 30 minutes. It does help though, probably almost as much as 500 mg of tylenol every four hours does. I go from feeling okay to a lot of pain. I think warm weather would help, it's 39F here this morning. Thank you for asking. George Melba's Jammin' wrote: > How have you been feeling? |

Or you should have said it was -10. We've got an image to maintain. ;;-) Best regards, Bob |

One medication that I've found that helps is Robaxin - Robaxacet (one is generic, which I fergit), it's a non - narcotic back muscle relaxer that helps with those UGLY spasms. It's OTC in Canada so I order it from there, the generic version is cheap, about the same price as Tylenol (do a google search)... What's really a drag about sciatica is that there is no real "cure" or medication regimen that you can control with it. It comes and it goes at it's own stubborn whim... -- Best Greg |

Felt like my body was going to split apart at the waist. Today I feel pretty good but I took my Darvocet anyway and now I feel much better. <VBG> George |

And we got all kinda new micro-neurosurgery tools make the hospital stay pretty short for spine surgery. But once they start operating, the scar tissue that can forms can squeeze nerves, too. But to be free of pain for many years, boy that's sumthin'. Personally, I've learned to lift up little parts of things, garden from a chair, take frequent rest breaks, and wear orthotics in my sneakers - it really helps. And I have a very old mother's medical book (c.1831) that swears by warm lettuce poultices, but I have not tried that. Edrena |
