Default Ginger Cream Cookies

Ginger Cream Cookies

Cream:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg

add:
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup water

sift together and mix in:
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmet
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Bake at 350* until puffed and done--watch them--time will vary with oven.
Frost with a cream cheese frosting. Store in tight container with waxed
paper between layers.
