Crockpot Chicken & Vegetable Pasta Sauce
1 to 1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders, cubed (or use boneless chicken breasts) 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped 1 medium (or 2 small) zucchini, quartered and sliced 1/2-inch thick 1 green bell pepper, coarsely chopped 2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped or thinly sliced 1 can (28oz) crushed tomatoes 1 can (15oz) diced tomatoes 1 package country gravy mix (or chicken gravy mix) 1/2 teaspoon dry sweet basil 1 teaspoon dry leaf oregano Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker/Crock Pot (3 1/2-quart or larger). Cover and cook on low for 6 to 9 hours. Serve over hot cooked pasta or as a sauce in lasagna. Serves 6 to 8. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
