Podovies
From Jeanne Lomas at Old Fort York 1/2 pound ground beef 1 onion -- chopped 1 egg -- beaten 2 cups flour 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup butter Parsley Thyme Salt and pepper Fat -- or butter for frying Season the meat and add onion. In a bowl, add butter to the flour in small pieces and mix thoroughly. Add the egg and mix. Then add milk. If the resulting dough is too dry, add water: if too wet, add flour. When the dough leaves the side of the bowl, turn it over onto a floured board and knead until smooth. Make numerous little balls of dough and roll each out into thin circles. Put some meat onto each circle, folding the dough over to form a half-moon and pinching the edges securely. Fry until golden brown. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
