Shrimp Fra Diablo


1 lb linguine, cooked and reserved
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and de-veined
2 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup white wine
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato puree
1 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley,
1 Tbsp fresh chopped basil
2 tsp fresh chopped oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes.
Saute until the garlic is soft and golden brown, about 3 - 5 minutes (don't let
the garlic burn!). Add the tomatoes, wine and herbs, salt and pepper. Toss in
the shrimp and cook until shrimp is pink and tender, about 5 - 7 minutes,
stirring frequently. Serve on top of linguine.
