Sangria orgininated in Galicia and is a favorite hot-weather drink
everywhere in
spain.
Here is one version.

1 bottle red wine
1/2 lemon
6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 jigger brandy
peel of 1 cucumber
ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in large pitcher.
Chill for 1-2 hours.
Add ice cubes before serving.
Makes 1 quart.

Sherry and Orange

Andaluzia is another hot weather drink which is a favorite.
2 cups dry sherry
2 cups fresh orange juice
crushed ice
1/2 cup club soda

Pour Sherry and orange juice into large pitcher.
Add ice and club soda.
Serve immediately while carbonation lasts.
yield: 1 quart
