This is REALLY good. It's so good that we don't make it too often. We end
up eating it all at once. It makes alot. MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 by AccuChef (tm) www.AccuChef.com Title: Caramel Corn Using Corn Puffs Categories: Yield: Servings 1 10 oz bag puffed corn 1 cup ( 2 sticks REAL butter not-margarine) 1 -1/4 cups light brown sugar. 2/3 cup light corn syrup. 1 tsp baking soda. [Note: I'm sure you could use regular popcorn for this. We like the Old Dutch puffed corn because it has no hulls.] Mix together brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in large saucepan. Cook on medium heat until everything is melted together. Stir in baking soda (mixture will foam up) Pour over puffed corn and stir to mix. Bake at 250 for 45 minutes - stirring approx every 15 minutes. When done - pour onto waxed paper or some surface to let it cool. Break apart large chunks. I do that while it's cooling. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at . Only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting.
