Default Chocolate-Walnut Tart

Chocolate-Walnut Tart

1 refrigerated ready-to-use piecrust
1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
3 eggs
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) salted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Heat oven to 350 . Place oven rack in lower third of oven. Fit pie crust
into an 11- or g-inch tart pan. Sprinkle chocolate and walnuts evenly over
crust. Microwave butter in a large glass measure, covered, at 100% power

seconds. Beat in brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Pour into crust. Bake in heated 350 oven, 30 minutes for 11-inch tart, 45
minutes for g-inch tart. Let cool on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream
if desired.
