Cracker Barrel's Apple Dumpling

I've been searching for a Cracker Barrel's Apple Dumpling Recipe. They
serve it in an oval dish, that has been lined with a "pie-like" crust,
filled with apples,layered with a crumbly pecan-loaded topping,and lastly,
drizzled with a carmel sauce that is just out-of-this-world. This dessert
is not like the "normal" apple dumplings that have the whole apple wrapped
in the pastry.
My hubby loves this dessert, and I would love to make it for him!

Once upon a time Southern Oregon had at least two Kenny Roger restuarants
in the area just long enough for me to realize that I loved thier chicken.
They have been gone for several years now and I still love thier chicken.
