Quick Chili Mac
1 pound lean ground beef 1 large onion chopped 1 (14 oz) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 1/2 cups uncooked small shell macaroni Brown beef and onion in large skillet over medium high heat, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, soy sauce, chili powder, and 1 1/2 cups water. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Stir in macaroni, cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes, or until macaroni is tender, yet firm, stirring once. It's not really that spicy, but if you prefer less spice, use regular stewed tomatoes and cut down on the chili powder. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
