Hamburger Hot Dish
Hot dish or Goulash, call it what you want. I grew up on this quick and easy meal. I have tweaked the ingredients a bit, but the results are just as good. Serve with a side salad for a great weekday dinner. Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Ready In: 25 minutes Servings: 4 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey 1 1/2 Tsp. minced onions 1 garlic clove, pressed 2 cans tomato soup 1 can corn, drained italian seasoning, to taste season salt, to taste 3 slices american cheese slices (fat-free may be used) 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni Cook elbow macaroni according to directions on box. While macaroni is cooking, brown ground beef or ground turkey and minced onion in a large skillet or pan until almost brown. Add pressed garlic and cook until meat is done. Drain meat, if needed, return to skillet or pan. Add tomato soup, corn, italian seasoning and season salt. Mix well. Drain macaroni when done cooking (do not rinse). Add to hamburger mixture and mix well. Top with cheese slices and cover for 2-3 minutes or until melted. Stir again after cheese has melted. Serve with a side salad if desired. Enjoy. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at . Only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting. Please allow several days for your submission to appear.
