Death By Chocolate Cake
Death by Chocolate From: Karen Mcnamara > I had this at a party and I would love to get the recipe There are a number of cakes that bear that name; from scratch or from box, here are two quite different cakes: Death By Chocolate Cake Serving Size : 10 4 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup oil 1 package chocolate cake mix 1 package chocolate instant pudding 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips confectioner's sugar Beat eggs, sour cream, water, and oil together in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. Add cake mix and pudding mix. Beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into Bundt or tube pan and bake at 350 F for 1 hour. When cool, sift powdered sugar on top of cake. Variation: Replace 1/4 cup water with Grand Marnier. Serves 8-10. Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 491 Calories; 33g Fat (57.5% calories from fat); 7g Protein; 49g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 95mg Cholesterol; 340mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1/2 Lean Meat; 0 Non-Fat Milk; 6 1/2 Fat; 3 Other Carbohydrates. When cool, pierce cake with a fork all over and pour kalua over top. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight. Prepare mousse. In a 3 1/2 quart trifle bowl, layer broken up cake pieces, mousse, candy and cool whip (3 layers each). Sprinkle Skor candy pieces on top.
