Black-Eyed Pea Pie

2 cups all purpose flour
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 egg whites
3 Tbsp baking powder
1-1/2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
pinch of salt

1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Mix all the ingredients well, in a large bowl.
Pour into pie shell. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve pie warm from the
oven with whipped cream or ice cream. This is the recipe for the
chocolate pie that is served at Black-Eyed Pea restaurants.
