Default Christmas Pizza

Christmas Pizza

1 Boboli or readymade pizza crust
1 Green pepper
1 Red pepper
1 Package frozen broccoli florets
2 Tblsp Olive oil
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 jar spaghetti sauce
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Cheese grater
Soup ladle or large spoon
Wax paper
Pepperoni slices

You wont find this pizza under your tree, but it does have a tree on it.
This colorful pizza is fast, easy and fun to make with the kids! Cut the
peppers in half and then in quarters. Slice the quarters into 4 thin
slices. Set aside. Heat half the jar of spaghetti sauce in a saucepan
over medium heat. Refrigerate the leftover sauce. While the spaghetti
sauce is simmering, place one tablespoon olive oil in a frying pan. Heat
over low heat for 2 minutes. Add the frozen broccoli (be careful the oil
may splatter when the frozen broccoli hits the pan). Sprinkle the broccoli
with the garlic salt. Cover the pan and saute the broccoli at medium heat
until tender, about 10 minutes. Broccoli should retain its green color,
but be tender enough to easily stick a fork in it. Remove the broccoli and
spaghetti sauce from heat and let cool. When the broccoli is cool to
touch, slice the larger florets in half so that they lay flat. Next,
lightly saute the green and red pepper slices over medium heat until
tender, about 5-8 minutes
..
Spread the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the Boboli crust.
Carefully ladle some sauce over the top of the crust. Dont put to much
sauce on it, or the pizza will be soggy. Spread the sauce around so that
it is evenly smooth on top of the pie. Top with grated cheese. Most of the
sauce should be covered by cheese, but its okay if a little sauce peeks
through.

To decorate the pie: Take the green and red pepper slices and use them to
form the outline of a Christmas tree. (See photo). Next, place the
broccoli florets in the outline of the Christmas tree that you made with
the green peppers. Fill the space with the broccoli so that it looks like
a green fir tree.

Place the pepperoni slices on the tree as if they were Christmas lights.
Bake the Christmas Pizza at 425° for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is
bubbling and lightly brown. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing.
