Grandma Hafer's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup of packed flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp hot water
1 tsp salt
2 cups of oatmeal
1/2 bag of chocolate chips


Mix sugar and shortening in a bowl, gradually adding eggs, baking soda,
salt, flour, water. Then add oatmeal, chocolate chips.
Bake at 375F for 12 minutes and enjoy!
